Marimba

I am immensely grateful to Stichting Eigen Muziekinstrument for their support. Thanks to their support I can continue my development as a professional musician and performer. The world of percussion is an endless one to explore and collect, and that is what makes it so attractive to me. With that said, I am drawn to all of percussion and rhythm, and the melodic and harmonic qualities of music have always strongly sparked my curiosity. The marimba is one of my main instruments and owning one of my own is a huge step forward in my career. The contribution of SEM has allowed me to have the freedom to become the artist I would like to be. Owning a marimba gives me the opportunity to further explore the original repertoire for the instrument; be able to commission new works for it; have access to repertoire, written for other instruments, and delve deeper into exploring multiple genres and their approaches to melody and harmony.

Owning a Concorde marimba also allows me to explore and master the subtlest sound qualities of the instrument, being already familiar with the depth of the low bass tones and the singing qualities of the higher register. Thank you for making dreams possible!
