Cello

I am incredibly grateful to SEM for their support in the purchase of my new Theo Marks cello. For some time, I had felt that my previous instrument was limiting me technically, and after a long search, experimenting many different cellos, I finally found the one that I fell in love with. Built in 2019 by luthier Theo Marks, this cello has a beautifully rich and powerful sound, with a strong core and easiness to play. As I’ve spent more time with it, I’ve discovered new colors and developed my technique in ways I hadn’t before, allowing me to express myself more freely.

This instrument will be a great partner as I prepare for orchestral auditions—my dream job. It has already made both my practice and performance experiences so much more fulfilling, and I‘m sure it will keep developing with time. SEM has made this important step in my journey so much easier, and I feel truly fortunate for their support.
