Throughout the past years of my Bachelor studies, I have gone through many changes in my playing, especially regarding the right hand which is considered to voice of every string player. Switching from French to German bowing technique took me years to adapt the different approach. Throughout the years of discovering and master the aspects of the technique, I have developed my personal taste, perception of the sound. By the end of my Bachelor studies, I started to search for a bow that would suit my way of playing, help me grow as a musician and contribute my sound into the professional world.

In May of 2023 I travelled to visit Markneukirchen – a historical instrument maker town in south- east Germany where I have spent few days trying out bows at F. Günter Hoyer’s workshop. After a while I chose this bow and took it for a trial. Once returned in Groningen in the very first rehearsals I have received immediate compliments regarding the sound! I have performed with this bow in orchestra, chamber ensembles and as a soloist – the bow is versatile and can serve at its best at any time.

Thanks to SEM, I was able to afford this great tool! I am looking forward to the upcoming musical adventures!
