For a while, I was searching for a viola bow that would complement and fit my instrument. While looking around in the Netherlands I came across this viola bow by Josef P. Gabriel in Amsterdam. From the first moment I played with this viola bow, it became evident how seamlessly it harmonized and matched with my instrument! This bow not only fits naturally but also enhances all the possibilities my instrument has to offer. My teacher often likens our bow to a paintbrush, and with this bow, I can truly explore and discover a spectrum of colours that will enrich my musical expression.

Of course, having the opportunity to continue playing with the Josef P. Gabriel viola bow is something that wouldn’t be possible without the support of the SEM foundation. I am immensely grateful to the SEM community and my donors for their support which keeps me inspired in my early career, driving me to explore and discover more in my musical journey.
