Thanks to SEM I have been able to purchase the instrument I was for so long waiting for. I have had the great fortune of getting to know the Foundation SEM in a crucial moment of my career as a flutist, since I have just finished my studies and I am starting to collaborate with great orchestras and ensembles.

Since the beginning of my studies in the Netherlands 7 years ago, I always felt that the instrument I was playing wasn’t bringing me what I needed, but it was holding me back instead. I have been saving money for a new instrument during years, but flutes are very expensive, so I could not have afforded it alone.

That’s why foundations like Stichting Eigen Muziekinstrument are so important! They understand the situation of musicians in need of better instruments who don’t have the means for it and help them (us) to keep going on with our careers.

As cliche as it might sound, I am incredibly grateful that a foundation like this exists. I thank all the people that have made this possible from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your extraordinary solidarity, and thanks for getting involved with each of us in such a beautiful way, I could have not done it without your support.
