Viool

In 2023, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Classical Violin at the Utrecht Conservatory. While preparing for my Bachelor final exam, my teacher noticed something missing in my sound, and handed me his violin to let me try his instrument. After I played on his violin, I immidiately noticed the enormous difference that an instrument can make, and that my initial instrument had sound limitations. Recognizing the necessity for an upgrade, I started looking for a violin that flourishes my sound, and eventually encountered a beautiful modern violin crafted by Serge Stam. Unfortunately, I lack the financial means to acquire such instrument independently, and therefore reached out to Stichting Eigen Muziekinstrument for their support.

I am deeply grateful for Stichting Eigen Muziekinstrument's investment in my future and my musical journey. This new violin serves as more than just a tool for practice and performance - it catalyzes my growth and development, and I've been able to delve into new realms of sound, refine my skills, and express myself more freely through music. Colleagues and teachers at the Utrecht Conservatory, where I'm currently pursuing my Master's degree, have also noted the improvement in my sound quality. Much credit is due to Serge Stam's exceptional craftsmanship and the support of Stichting Eigen Muziekinstrument. I am one step closer to achieving my goals and making my mark in the field of music, and I hope to make the most of this instrument through my career as a Violinist.
