For the last years I have been playing on a factory guitar, on which I played for most of my study years in the Netherlands. With that instrument I was finding it very difficult to express myself, because it didn’t project the sound very well and the strings were not equally balanced. The dynamical range was not in balance over the whole instrument, some notes were much louder than others.
Therefore, it became clear to me and my teachers at the Conservatory of Amsterdam that I needed to find a new instrument in order to develop myself further as a musician. Unfortunately, a new instrument means a big investment and that was not easy for me.
In November of 2018 I tried the Hideo Sato guitars for the first time at a guitar festival in Antwerp and it was immediately clear for me that the instruments were fitting me very well. His guitars are responding great to my way of playing and give me much more opportunities and sonorities. Ever since that moment I have been dreaming about owning one of his guitars.
Thanks to Stichting Eigen Muziekinstrument I am finally able to purchase a beautiful guitar by Hideo Sato. I’m looking forward to play in many concert halls with this instrument and develop myself further as a musician!
